The Phat Dog story begins with Jeremy Gyiraszin where he grew up doing magic from childhood. With 25 years experience, he knows his audience and his products, by sharing the joy of magic to crowds of all ages. His greatest pleasure is when he performs up-close magic that amazes and astonishes the adults. By watching and waiting for the anticipated expression and the upcoming thrill to a person’s face (the victim) will always bring a smile to his face and fill him with much delight.
Four years ago Jeremy and his wife, Paula, who also enjoys performing magic, decided to build a business providing magic products and resources at an affordable price. One of their biggest challenges was coming up with a catchy name. At that time, their then four year old Cairn terrier named Ginger ruled the household as “Queen B”. Due to her behaviors, she fell into the nickname “Phat Dog” (slang for a person or pet that is sexy, attractive, excellent, admirable, fashionable, “Cool”, and particularly associated with the hip-hop subculture.)
This spoiled, lazy, loveable dog created the name of our new venture, Phat Dog Magic which began as a hobby and has now grown into a quality store that guarantees the best price on magic supplies and products.
